Good evening, everyone!
Lately I’ve been playing around with making fabric rope out of scrap strips. Because I’ve been getting my house ready to sell, I’ve put away a lot of my projects and haven’t had much time to sew. Making rope is a great way to satisfy my need to play with pretty fabric, and it’s an easy project to pick up and put down as needed. Also, it’s a great hand project for watching TV or kids’ sports events because once you’ve got the hang of it, you really don’t have to look at your work too much!
After sharing some fabric rope pictures on Instagram, I had a follower ask for a tutorial.
So, below you will find my YouTube video tutorial for making fabric rope… Enjoy!
Happy Twisting! ~L
Great tutorial! I found it really interesting that even though I am right-handed I would still hold and twist the rope the same way as you. I wonder if any other right handers out there would too.

That’s interesting to hear. I’ll have to ask some of my right-handed friends what they’re tendency would be!
