About

Hi! My name is Lorinda. I’m married to my favorite guy in the world, and am mother to three teens.  I was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and currently live just 20 minutes north of my hometown. I believe in loving people the way God does, working hard, and making the best life possible with what you’ve been given.

My quilting journey began back in the spring of 2013 when my (then homeschooled) children each made a quilt block for a Civil War project. I was intrigued by the way the block changed so dramatically as a result of the kids’ different color and fabric choices. And as they say, the rest is history…. from that moment, I was hooked.

I am passionate about teaching this amazing skill. I believe that by becoming makers, we can learn to truly value the objects around us. There nothing quite like the joy and sense of accomplishment I see on a student’s face when they discover what they are capable of!

Excellent customer service is important to me, so I go above and beyond to make sure my students are comfortable and having fun. Learning a new skill is hard, and I believe in encouraging my students every step of the way.

If you have any questions about group classes, are local and want to learn more about private lessons with me, or would like to commission a one-of-a-kind quilt, please feel free to email me at:

I went into your website, what a learning experience! I too just started quilting in 2013with the push of my sweet mother-in-law and absolutely love it. We recently moved up to the PNW (Longview, WA), so now, I’m pretty much on my own. Joined a Block of the Month club but your blog just opened my eyes on how to pick colors! I can hardly to try it! Thank you so much!
