Hi Friends! Just a quick post today to share with you my latest blocks from the Modern HST Sampler QAL hosted by Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilts.
We are halfway through our quilt-along and I have really enjoyed it so far. The blocks are getting more complicated, but they still work up fairly quickly. I love the instant gratification of finishing each block.
I got a bit behind during the end of the school year, so yesterday I took a little time and got caught up. Here are my blocks for the last 6 weeks.
Instead of one of these blocks in all the same color, I decided to make two sets of HSTs and vary my colors a bit. Then I accidentally got lipstick on one of my orange Oval Elements HSTs (quilting fail!). Instead of making a new HST unit, I found some HSTs made with the orange Oh Clementine crosshatch in my stash and added those in. Mistakes are just design opportunities! Lol
So that’s it! I’m glad to be caught up and am looking forward to seeing what Alyce brings us next.
