We are halfway through summer break here in Washington, and I feel like we’re just starting to settle in. Of course, that means all the stores are now pushing back-to-school products!
Color Play Friday is hosted by Trina from In An Otter Life and myself. If you’re new to Color Play Friday, head over to my Color Play Friday page to see the rules and my palettes and bundles from previous weeks. You can also search #colorplayfriday on Instagram to see lots of past palettes and bundles.
I really expected to get a lot of yellow out of this photo, but when I started picking, I was surprised to find mostly beige! I decided to go with a geometric and modern bundle with just a little bit of nature mixed in.
.
Here are the fabrics I chose:
AGF Nature Elements, Coffee Liqueur
Sarah Watson, Birds Eye View, Tapestried in Green
Bonnie Christine, Hello Bear, Follow me in Moonlight
Maureen Cracknell, Nightfall, Luminaries Gold
Another Point of View, Candyland
A note about scale:
- While I believe scale is a very important part of fabric selection, the fabrics shown in my Color Play images are not always perfectly to scale. I do my best, by you should always double check scale before ordering!
Don’t forget to head over to the other blogs and see what they came up with! The fun of Color Play Friday is seeing the differences and similarities between everyone’s bundles.
Participants this week:
(Trina is taking the week off to celebrate her daughter’s birthday, but will be back with us next week!)

Here is next week’s photo- another from my garden!

I love these seemingly monochromatic pics that lend to a nature or masculine color scheme but the group who add their choices really make a fun exploration of possibilities. I really liked Cloth and Paper Studios Christmas take – very imaginative.

Oh I really like what you did with the bobbin picture/colors.. It’s quite unusual. I admit I didn’t see all the beige at first, but after you pulled it, I saw it!
