Art Gallery Fabrics Giveaway!

Happy Friday, everyone! I have a fun giveaway for you today sponsored by Art Gallery Fabrics.

A few weeks ago, I shared with you the scrappy denim quilt that I made for Art Gallery Fabric’s absolutely amazing Quilt Market booth.  Check out that post to hear a little more about the making of the quilt.

I was thrilled when my package from AGF arrived full of fabric goodies. They sent me some beautiful prints from various AGF collections, a couple of Pure Elements solids, one of their Denim Prints, and a whole bunch of Solid Smooth Denim to work with.

I was immediately enamored with the denim. It has that beautiful sheen that I admire in other AGF fabrics, but with an added iridescence that was mesmerizing. I kept moving it around the see more of that pretty shine!

I was also struck by how lightweight it is. It looks like jeans, but it has the drape softness of quilting cotton.  I really want to get more of the Printed Denim and use it for some garment sewing as well.

I’ll be honest- pictures cannot do this fabric justice!

Because they compliment each other so well,  I wanted my readers to get a chance to try the Art Gallery Denim along with their quilting cottons. I contacted AGF about doing a giveaway, and they were gracious enough to put together this awesome fat quarter bundle based off the fabrics I used in my quilt!

  1. One of my favorite days was watching my grand daughter run around the yard picking dandelions, because they were beautiful she said.

  2. One of my best days ever was the time when we lived on Oahu, courtesy of the Army, and my best friend was visiting. We were drinking wine on our beautiful Waimanalo beach, and it started pouring rain. Everyone ran for home, but we ran into the water and just laughed and floated until the sun came back out.

  5. One of my favorite days was back in April. For my birthday my hubby and I went for a drive up into the mountains and had a picnic. It was chilly, but it was fun. It was a very welcome treat, as I had been working lots of overtime.

  7. My favorite day is visiting Seattle and trying to get everything in. Ferry Rides, Chihuly Gardens, Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, Mt. Rainier, quilt shops, and the list goes on. OK, maybe more than one day, but they were the best!!!!

  10. The beach has always been my favorite getaway. Love the sound of the waves and watching the movement of the water. The kids always enjoy kite flying and horse back riding in the beach. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of escaping to the ocean.

  12. I try hard to make something in each day worthy of reflecting on and celebrating. A recent day that stands out, however, was on our road trip to Tennessee last summer. My girls had been looking through guidebooks on the way down, and on our first full day there, we let them each choose some things for us to experience. The day included ice skating, Alpine sliding, a mountain tram ride, and a family style dinner at Paula Deen’s restaurant. We laughed a lot and just really enjoyed being together. My girls still tease me about striking up a conversation with an Amish woman who was ice skating with her children. I admired her quilted tote bag and we talked quilts for a while as we tottered around the rink!! It was lovely!
