Whew! Sorry for posting this so late in the day. I’m just coming back from vacation this week, and now we’re in full-on back-to-school prep! Combine that with a looming deadline (for a secret project that I can’t wait to tell you about!!), and it makes for a BUSY week! So let’s get to it!
Color Play Friday is hosted by Trina from In An Otter Life and myself. If you’re new to Color Play Friday, head over to my Color Play Friday page to see the rules and my palettes and bundles from previous weeks. You can also search #colorplayfriday on Instagram to see lots of past palettes and bundles.
Can you believe this photo was taken with my iphone?! Technology is amazing.
Here are the fabrics I chose:
Karen Lewis, Blueberry Park, Dotty Sunflowers in Mushroom
Bonnie and Camille, Vintage Picnic, Floral in Gray
Alexia Abegg, Print Shop, Meadow in Citrus
Lizzy House, Lovely Hunt, Strawberry Field in Green
LB Krueger, Downtown, Dotted Ovals in Green
Robert Kaufman House Designer, Carolina Gingham in Kelly
A note about scale:
- While I believe scale is a very important part of fabric selection, the fabrics shown in my Color Play images are not always perfectly to scale. I do my best, by you should always double check scale before ordering!
Don’t forget to head over to the other blogs and see what they came up with! The fun of Color Play Friday is seeing the differences and similarities between everyone’s bundles.
Participants this week:
Laurel and Pine (that’s me!)
In An Otter Life
123 Quilt
Jennifer Lewis
Here’s next week’s picture!
Are you enjoying Color Play Friday? We’d love for you to get in on the fun and create your own Color Play post! You can create a bundle of fabric, select yarns or embroidery threads, or create a project inspired by our photo. Be sure to let Trina or I know so we can link up to you. You can get in contact with us at colorplayfriday@gmail.com
I hope you can join us next week!
Happy Sewing, ~L
Oh wow – I LOVE this palette. Adding the really light browns from the center of the dandelion just made it so perfect! I may have to use this one. Great job. And sorry I didn’t participate this week – just too many demands on my time. Argh. Hopefully next week.

Thanks, Carrie! Believe it or not, those ‘browns’ are actually from the dandelion stem, and if you take them away from the bright greens, you can see that they are green as well. I love how colors interact like that!

I feel ya! It’s tough coming back from a vacation week! Your bundle is fantastic though! I love all the greens you choose. Then again, green is my favorite color so I’m a little biased. 🙂
